if you and the liveries are happy maybe you could use the hill field in the summer and you can get a hay crop of the lower one, should keep your costs down unless they have over grazed you are on old dairy land which is very rich. for access to the hill you can run an electric track round to the gate for access.
its a good view from the top! and i use to use it for 2 good doers all that extra walking and you keep a fitter pony as they have to graze and move to graze.
and as for brean we use to play in the sand dunes playing tag!
you can hack from where you are, you have to cross the main road but once you get to the beach you then turn left go down the beach then its left back across the levels to home. mind you this is when people use to hack more than a mile!
it is a shame that winscombe drove has not been re-calcified back to a bridleway mind you that did not stop us back then as it is a direct route up to the forest and rowberrow
