Just wondering really.

I'd really like to get a youngster but would ideally want a sharer to help, its not essential but I'd like to have one
Do you think I'd find someone who would be willing to help, I dont really want the money, a few nights a week without riding?

I'm abit unsure, does everyone want something to ride?

Thanks :)

I am actually in a similar situation at the moment, i am sharing a 3yo ex racer and i ride her 4 days a week for the owner....i love the horse to bits and have successfully shared other horses in the past but have to say i do find this share more stressful for various reasons, because she is a baby i perhaps feel more strongly about certain decisions eg. i would like to see her turned away over winter but owner doesnt want to. I think i am alot more emotionally invested because she is young and as we are still establishing her in her training i am encountering many more differences of opinion than i would in a horse who is a bit older and is already settled and knows his job.

I think there will be sharers out there who will be happy to take on a youngster, but just be aware that it may tend to be those with more experience...who inevitably end up to be a pain in the neck like me, who have their own opinions on how things should be done :p

You could probably find someone, but I would doubt that you could find someone good enough to help you bring the youngster on who would not want to be paid for their services...

I have two yearlings and I think I would feel funny about sharing them as you get such a bond with them and have strong opinions about how to bring them on etc :)

this is basically what i was trying to say. I love my share horse to bits but it is tough sometimes, too many cooks and all that.
