Would you show in a Micklem Competition bridle?

To any showing experts out there. I am taking my horse out to his first party of this year on Monday (yeah!) I recently bought the Micklem bridle on recommendation from my instructor. Which has had a positive effect on my horse and he has been working well in it. I am reluctant to change it as I obviously want him to work nicely but I'm not sure that it won't be frowned upon in the showring. I'm only going to be doing a ridden ex-racers class and one or two in hand classes at a local riding club show but don't want to be disqualified. The rules of the Ex-racer club state "Any tack is permitted except gadgets" which I read to mean that it should be ok. I have tried emailing through facebook but I've yet to hear so any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't know about showing but its dressage legal, so I don't expect you'll be disqualified.

At a local show, I'm sure it'd be fine...

I'm sure you'd be ok to do it. Personally I wouldn't as I think they can make even the nicest head look peculiar

I have one horse who wears one normally, but I don't use the Micklem for showing as it's not the most attractive and I prefer the traditional look of a double bridle.

Agree with this. I've recently brought one and my horse does go better but I do think its ugly (despite alot of my friends thinking it looks nice!) so I wouldn't go showing in it
