A fit and healthy, low mileage cob? Apparently steady and sensible but twenty years old and needing a new home due to owners illness.
As would ours! And I was at a regional meeting earlier today, where several groups were saying that they are in a similar position. We wouldn't buy one of that age but as a loan/gift, we would be very grateful. An RDA group would bite your hand off (well ours would - we‘re desperately looking for another horse)
Not likely to be going jumping, just as an ‘extra’ that’s safe for friends to hack alongside the youngsters, who sometimes need a calming influence l know it’s a ‘piece of string’ question, but just interested in peoples views as will be the oldest by a fair bit. My lovely oldie who l’d had since a youngster, died peacefully but unexpectedly a few months ago and l was going to reduce the numbers ……but…..life not like that! You've missed out the most important crux... what do you want it for? If I wanted something for hacking and the odd jump with no expectation on how long it'd last then definitely. If I was looking for my next competitive BS ride... then probably not, no!
That being said, this horse was 23 here!
