Would you tie in a chiffney?

Oh goodness I wouldnt lol its just a fb acquaintance!
I've just never seen it done, but you can't be too sure that that in itself is enough reason to find something silly.
Not much else to say really-il not the type to force my opinion on anyone, so won't be saying anything but at least I know now :)

I was taught how to use one in case I ever needed it in an emergency - I have one in the tack box but only ever used it once for an exceptionally good reason - as to tieing up with one absolutely never, never, never.

This thread is completely unique.

The entire of HHO agreeing, unequivocally, without dissent.

Good god, I need to lie down *swoons*

Chifneys have their uses. We would not use anything else for a horse that is coming off months of box rest due to injury and is starting to walk in hand for several weeks for the horses safety and for our own safety. You just have to be tactful with them. We get sent several horses a year whose owners cannot cope with the initial stages of walking a horse out after box rest with a chifney you have the control and minimise the risk of a horse getting loose which could be catastrophic after a serious injury.
