Would you tow with an automatic?

Hi Richard, I also towed with an automatic Jeep Cherokee 2.8CRD on a 54 plate. It towed like there was nothing behind - best tow vehicle ever. I only got rid of it after the debacle over the tow bar and needing a repaired air conditioning system. If you are considering a Jeep Cherokee make sure you get one that has already had the recall towbar fitted (if it needs it). If I still needed to tow I would have another one no problem.

hi clannad thanks for info , thinking of getting jeep around that year but not been in one yet . had range rover and shogun before they towed brill both auto forgot about the recall thing , thanks for that regards richard.

Not horse, but I tow a caravan with auto, I do change the gears like manual though when in built up so as not to strain the gear box.
