If you bought a horse from a dealer would you be interested to know its history, or if it was going well, would you not really be bothered?

I px'd a horse last year and have found out who is now competing him, seems to be going well. i really liked the horse but he was just too big for me. just wondering if I should make contact or just let her get on with it! I'm sure she could find out where he came from if she wanted to.

I think so long as there are no health concerns or other problems that you feel the new owner should be aware of, let them get on with it.
I am currently having a complete nightmare trying to find Freds old owner specifically for a medical problem. I have made a bit of a break through now so fingers crossed.
It might be nice for the new owner to know you are there for advice in the future though should anything go wrong...

I have friends who bought from dealers and would love to know history .You could send a note and tell them your number then its up to them if they want to make contact.

I bought a wonderful mare from a dealer, and was desperate to know her history. Sadly I never found out anything. I'd say send a letter then see if they want to contact you back. If they are not interested they can just bin it!
