As above really. I have seen a pair on sale and I quite fancy them but I am worried they will be ruined in seconds in the winter. Has anyone ever tried them? I was looking at the Dublin ones. Ta!

I have some nubuck paddock boots (think that's the right name for them anyway, they are short boots but designed to be ridden in). They are Equitector and the best winter boot ever for keeping feet warm. Still look nice after 3 years but I don't wear them in the mud

Probably not a good idea for me then as I tend to be a mud magnet and a real slob for cleaning shoes! I think I will save up for a pair of Mark Todd leather boots. Thanks anyway.

I have the long dublin nubuck ones, they've been fine. The insides have gone all shiny from wear, and they have regularly been worn in the mud so they don't look as pretty as they did when they came out of the box, but I think its only me that notices, and they have been pretty good
