i was planning on starting my season next year at a event called Dromiskin (depending on how merlin gets through jan - march

)
but im not sure whether to stay at novice level (we did 2 novice events at the end of last season and were dc at both) or step down and do PN.

the course does NOT change much

and the novice isnt really a strong course, its up to height but quite a good starting event if you know what i mean. I did the novice at it last season (2nd = 5 points

)

the PN would be a very easy track for him - hes done it twice

but im not sure he needs to do a PN and then straight up to novice or just start straight into novice?

opinions please

and he will have had done a couple of 2 phases before the event as well.

hehe ive just done a post on this! hehe
I rekon novice for you for sure espesh if you know the course etc and hes been round the pn a few times!

The novice SJ always seems VERY up to height at Dromiskin, so as long as that phase is going OK in early March (jumping clear round Raymond's 1.10 or even 1.20 at Tyrella) then would say go for it. I love Dromiskin, but if it is going to be tough, then it is on the technical side rather than sheer size, so fine as a first run I would have thought.
