Jump your horse on this ground??
This ground being we have hardly had any rain for a long time, and its very hard and in places rough going.
Also, what boots,if any would you use....i know my opinion.....just trying to hopefully prove a point!!!

No, I wouldn't jump my horses on hard, rough ground.

Boot wise it depends on the horse. Over SJ's I use tendon boots on all my horses, but only use fetlock boots on those that need them (ie are close behind). I also use over reach boots for SJ on one of my horse's, as he can over reach on take off.

XC I use either Dalmar or Eskadron XC boots all round, and over reach boots.

no, i personally would'nt jump on the hard ground we have at the moment, but i know plenty who do, then they probably think i mollicoddle my horses, but would rather not take the risk of injuring them, will be interesting to see other replies!

Erm........... no defo not! but I will say a certain county show last year in this type of weather clearly dangled the hoys tickets and did not a thing about watering/ ariating the ground which I find very dispointing- there is no point thrapping your poor horse round, god forbit the results to qualify with a lame horse! I was at another county show the same week (Shropshire!) and they were brilliant! They watered the grounds early and lowered the fenses and were lovely people there :D I would expect that response from other venues!
