If you hadn't got a horse of your own.You are a fairly novice/ slightly nervous rider and you want to go on a farm ride with a friend.A livery at the yard you work at every now and again has agreed to let you borrow your very favourite pony. The one that you ride particularly if you have had a bit of a fright and need comfort and confidence.A teenager.Signed A Grumpy Old Woman.

Of course I would  Shocked that someone wouldn't to be honest :(

One of the girls on my yard let me ride one of her mares and I thanked her for it and I was only on her for about 10 minutes :)

Maybe she is so awestruck that common sense and poiliteness has been lost - i am sure she will come to her senses soon - if not i would be doing a very very very grumpy old lady impression about the youth of today !

I would have! Even as a teenager without any pocket money im sure Mum would have lent me some to buy choccies or wine or something! Esp for a fun ride - They arent short! (was there travel involved?)

Mind you - Teenagers now are not what they used to be!!!

I absolutely would've.. :) Not all of us are that bad! But agreed, if she doesn't thank you for it I'd be doing a grumpy 'kids today' impression too :D

I let a nervous nelly borrow my gelding this week, just for a 20 min confidence boosting hack round the estate at a walk ... and she sneakily put £10 in my bin with a little note "For carrots, Thank you!" .... Proper gratitude will get you everywhere - she's welcome to him again hahaha

One of the liveries offered me a ride on her horse.I refused actually but I still said, Its very kind of you to offer thankyou very much.Amazing really! Its next week so we will see about the chocolates butnot holding my breathe.

I certainly would, probably accompanied by a big cheesy smile :D lol I probably say thank you to much though!!! I even said thanks to the vet when she put my horse to sleep!!

Yes! I say thank you probably about a million zillion times whenever I'm allowed to ride any of the other horses that the family I share with owns - I feel proud to be thought of as capable to do so, and always enjoy it...I can see why you're annoyed.

Errr yes I would. I took Toffee out with my friends newly broken Arab, who proved a pretty unflappable ride, and we hacked over to the ladies yard who broke her to say thank you!!! Its only polite
