Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on the best wound cream. I have a horse that likes to play, consequently he comes in with lots of bites and cuts. However, the wound cream I have is yellow and my horse is grey. Obviously it stains him and I can't get it off before shows. Just wondering what the best cream would be that lasts his time out and works. I would carry on using sudocreme but it doesn't last very long which isn't good for when the flies appear.

Thanks :)

Aloe Vera gel. Fantastic healing properties, faster healing and I've found less scarring. It needs to be a good one though, some I've seen have so little aloe Vera in them I would think they're pointless. I use one that is 100% aloe Vera. PM me if you want the name. Don't want to anger the powers that be by naming the brand.

If it's just a shallow wound I use sudocrem. Antiseptic, white and thick enough to stay in the right place for a while.

Thank you for your suggestions, I will look into them.
I did a search and found that thread but it was more about Manuka honey and the American wound cream, but thank you :-)
