Had the homeopathic vet out as Rocks "COPD" has been bad again and I wasn't going to pump him full of steroids anymore!
She picked up on something very interesting indeed that the vet didn't pick up on......after looking over rocks notes (forwarded by vets) they showed......that every SINGLE attack has happened after hes had his flu vaccine......
It happens the same time every year - so I and vet thought it was to do with summer.....but actually it coincides with him having the flu vaccine - hes been reacting to it (its a live strain of respiratory infection).
FINALLY I HAVE AN ANSWER.
Rocks is now on sulphur 30 short term, aloe vera gel in his feed and hilton herbs "freeway". New vet is feeling positive that we'll have him up and running in no time. Next time he has flu vaccine he will need a treatment of whatever she suggests a month before and after the vaccine to prevent a reaction.
I'm so glad I finally have an answer - I knew it wasn't COPD as he didn't respond to any of the COPD treatment (inhalors, ventipulmin, scoping etc).
Yay - nothing can bring me down right now. Fingers crossed for the next few weeks xx
