Well after what feels like years (its been about 6 weeks really) I can ALMOST give my friend her synthetic saddle back as today I purchased a WOW dressage saddle and I just love it!

Whats everyones thoughts? I was told when I tried it that you either hate it or love it and after not being that endeared to it at first by the time I had trotted then cantered I was sure to be on the 'love it' side!

My next question is what dressage girth and webber leathers does any recomend? I really like the wintec cair girths but I am finding it exceptionally difficult to come by the right size (my horse is a 26'' and I seem to find lots of 48''!), as for webbers I have no idea!

Thanks from a 'loved up' new saddle owner!

Love mine and so does my horse :D
I made the half way step towards a WOW about 6 years ago by getting my Jeffries dressage converted to the air bag system. About 2 years ago I thought what the heck and treated us both to a the real thing.
They are like marmite though and you will probably get posts from people saying they can't stand them.

I felt even when I was trying it my horse went a lot more open than he has done in months!
haha yeah i thought that although I have bought it now soo.... ;)
What girth and leathers do you use with yours? Have you used it for other things like hacking?

I've got a wintec girth but haven't got round to changing from my traditional leathers :o
I have hacked in it and find it really comfortable and my girl really strides out and opens her shoulder in it. At the moment I'm back using the Jeffries as I've got a sharer and I leave that one at the yard for her to use.
Hopefully soon I'll have more time to ride so the WOW will be back in action

Have you ever shown in it? I do a little bit of showing here and there and was trying to rack my brains if i had seen one in the show ring!
Aw I cant wait to get my girth/leathers sorted and I can get on and use it!

I've bought myself and my boy a WOW jump saddle and I LOVE it. However, I loathe and detest having to use the webber style leathers on it. I was recommended to use the Bates Webbers rather than Wow's own leathers. I just hate the way you have to take your foot out of the strirrup to adjust them when on board. I've also had to swap to a shorter pair as when jumping, the sleeve that covers the lumpy bit pressed right into my shin - ouch. Now I have a shorter pair which are fine for jumping (and no more lumpy bits under my shin!) but they are a tad too short for general hacking which I also use the saddle for.

That said, when I can afford it, I'll defo buy a dressage saddle too - it clearly suits my boy and after not being sure on them at first, I''m now converted.

Enjoy!

Oh - I just use an Aerborn cushion web girth - its a 28 inch and easy to get hold of.

Oh, should have said - I have the shallow seat and I coudn't get regular leathers to fit on the stirrup bars - there is no room, hence having to use the loathsome Webbers.....

Thanks porkpie, I have never had to use webbers before so fingers crosses I like them!
I also think I'm going to have to give up on my wintec cair girth and select another, it just felt soo comfy and soft when I used it for trying the saddle!
