....a few weeks ago, Toby started neighing around 7am, which is unusual as mine all wait politely for brekky without bellowing....anyway, ignored him and ignored him but by 8am couldnt stand the noise so got up, went out to the yard and found my livery pony had tied herself up in her haynet and although not panicking, was very much stuck!!!!
wasnt totally convinced that was why he was neighing but did wonder.....
last night he started neighing around 1am, and bearing in mind what happened before i immediately leant out the window and called, and all 4 answered in a happy chirrupy way, and i could see 3 shapes grazing and one with her head over the stable door.felt uneasy but at 1am,well, decided to go back to bed.
this morning found bruce had got his rug part off and tangled round one leg, again not panicking but im now convinced that was why Toby was neighing.
i WILL NOT ignore him next time and no matter what time it is will get a torch and go and investigate closely.lots of treats for the clever little chap this morning.
comforting to know that if anything gets colic/cast/loose etc that he will wake me up.
