Over the last week, with the evenings getting lighter, Jen has started doing little things with Tilly again and she has picked it all back up like a duck to water (baring in mind she hasn't properly done anything with her since the autumn).

Well Tilly has been happily working gentally in a lunge roller, either in walk on the lunge or being longreined. She has also been a poppet to sit on for 5 mins bareback and walk around on the yard which we've done about a dozen times since xmas now.

So tonight, after she had worked nicely in the roller, Jen popped the wintec saddle on her and with stirrups

!!! She was a babe - didn't even notice that it was anything new

So Jen longreined her for a bit, making sure she was happy with it all and then got me to lean over her - not so much as an acknowlegement! Hehe! And as mum was struggling to leg me up to lean over (she is soo bleeding big now!) she told me just to swing my leg over and stop wriggling about.

Well she was a total star - I soooo love that horse!! By the end of the 5mins or so that I was on board Jen had unclipped the lead rope and let me walk and halt her on my own. She was a little "wobbly" and wasn't always too sure what I was asking but she tried her little heart out and didn't put a foot wrong! And she feels very sure footed and balanced for a baby - just need to improve the steering!

I AM SOO PROUD OF HER!!!

And I have decided that I'm going to steel her - she is such a fantastic little mare, just don't tell Jen that

well she hasn't been broken at all, but has ben riden a couple of thimes bare back. but this is the first time she had a saddle let alone a rider on bored loL!

but we are backing her slowly!

Wow, that’s great! Can you get Tilly to have ‘words’ with Bodey, he is definitely not being so easy and he is 3.5 years old!

I know you are but just be careful not to do too much to quickly, it’s just I have a friend at the moment who is has a horse that did too much too young and now he is having back issues.

I know you and Jen know your stuff though!
