I'm looking to have a WOW saddle fitting and wondered if anyone could recommend a fitter in the Tunbridge Wells area which is near the Kent/East Sussex border. Any recommendation would be great!!!

Froggie does it but it is worth contacting First Thought Equine direct, they are helpful. I went down there to get flair put in my saddle and was seriously tempted by the Wows they make. Just need a lucky break on the lottery......!

Clive Bending is who I use - Based at his own saddlery in Maidstone but travels out - Very thorough. But I think you will need the First Thought Equine people who are based near Canterbury, for a WOW saddle as they make them.

Love you're horse Mickey, very handsome boy!!

I phoned up WOW to find a saddle fitter in the Kent area, apparently the only person they have at the moment is the saddle designer himself and he doesn't come out to fit, you have to go to him. I decided that they clearly weren't that bothered about selling me a saddle so I got a Devoucoux instead! I was very underwhelmed with their unhelpful attitude considering how much the saddle cost.

Clive Bending is not a currently qualified or registered saddle fitter (I know this for a fact because I asked him), if you have any problems with a saddle he sells you (usually Ideal Events) you will have no comeback.

Thanks very much! Ditto with yours! Very nice markings! What is his/her breeding? I've had him since a 4yr old, he's now rising 11yrs. He's meant to be ID x TB but I am not so sure - There could be some warmblood in there. Fantastic to ride, very sensible. Loves jumping and hacking out, I like doing dressage and showing. He's my first horse though I have been riding other people's all my life. Finally got my own at the age of 27!
..... I had a riding accident 18 months ago and fractured L2 in my back....all recovered now and back in the saddle. Hoping to get out competing again this yr, my friend rode him at a dr comp recently and qualified him for regionals (dressage) at Hickstead. His first ever dressage outing so we were thrilled! He came 2nd out of 30 odd horses.

Re: Pootler, I did not realise CB was not qualified. He has always seemed very thorough. I've never bought a saddle from him though, he's just been to check the fit. Mind you I might not be so keen on the idea now...

He is lovely! Mine is a 5yr old ISH type brought by myself from Ireland as a 3 yr old

Unknown breeding, but he is a right character! Brilliant achievements with yours, well done!! Mine starts eventing this year....

Sounds like he may have come from a similar line to mine then. Yes, my boy is a RIGHT character too!!!! Very bright and not scared of anything....! Good luck with yours!

I would go to First Thought Equine. It may not seem like good service at first, but if you box up your horse and visit they treat you like royalty. Nothing is too much trouble or takes too much time to make sure that you get exactly the right saddle for you and your horse. You try it in the school, in a field, have a gallop up a hill and can go out for a little hack. Then you get to choosing your leathers - which is great fun, better than Bluewater shopping. It was the most thorough saddle fitting I've ever had, and tea and cake included.
When I went to them you had to go to them for the initial fitting, but either he or his partner would bring the finished saddle to you to make sure it was right.
