Well I've been and done it. I've ordered my wow
grin.gif

I went for the dressage flaps with removable blocks in the end. Just didnt like the GP flaps at all

Anyways question is this, I'm having it buffalo brown, they only do black and white numnahs. White's no good for everyday use and black just won't look right with a brown saddle. So can anyone recommend a numnah thats fits it well? Cheaper the better too (OH has already had a mild shock

Well done!!!! I didnt like the GP flaps either!!!

I use the mattes numnahs/saddle cloths and just tuck the straps between the flap and the panel. They are quite expensive but I tend to keep an eye on ebay and get them a bit cheaper. They are high cut and just dont slip at all!!

(TBH I have had cheaper numnahs but now wont use anything else but mattes)

I think you need to explain to your OH that having bought such a lovely saddle you dont want to spoil the effect by buying a cheap numnah that doesnt fit properly or that moves!

I just buy normal numnahs/saddlecloths usually the £10 or £15 sort and alter the straps, only takes five minutes on the sewing machine.

i only hav 1 nuumed numnah and a dressage one for best..tbh im managing but will buy more soon.
IMO the wow girths are a lot of money for what they are my instructo0r bought one and tbh i prefer my jaguar one that i got for about £75

I got the girth because an ordinary one moved forward on my horse and cut into her. I had the saddle on trial for a week because of problems with my horse. But I think there are other girths that will work just as well if you have problems with a normal girth. I just couldnt risk it!

Just come back from a WOW saddle fitting

All the recommendations on here had convinced me to at least give them a go and see what the fuss was about...

What can I say? My fizzy, hollow, bouncy ball arab endurance horse turned into a soft, round, almost dressage horse after 20 minutes in the WOW. He looked so happy and relaxed and was accepting a soft contact, working through his back and using his hind legs - all things he never does in the school.

The change was amazing... and it wasn't just that the saddle fitter was riding him and was some sort of magician because I got the same results when I got back on. He felt amazing and the WOW was as comfortable for me as for him. She didn't need to give me any sales patter - I was sold just by looking at my horse's happy face.

The only bad thing - the six week wait until my new saddle arrives.

I'm not a patient person at the best of times but seeing how happy the saddle made my horse makes it even harder to wait

I bought the WOW girth too... I was buzzing so much that she could have sold me anything at that point...

I have just bought a brand new ex demo WOW from France, through ebay.

I have checked it all out, the fitter for my area knows the person selling it, who is a registered fitter.

I paid an awful lot less than english prices for it and our fitter is happy to alter it (have checked, all the basics are correct for the horse). Just waiting for it to arrive now.

Was that the grey suede one on recently? It looked very nice...

I looked at that and thought about bidding but then decided to splash out on a new one. There's so many different options - type of gusset/tabs/no tabs etc - that I figured it better for my hard to fit horse to make sure I got exactly what he needed from the off, rather than buying an existing saddle then having to change parts of it to suit him. Plus I got to choose the exact leather I wanted and pink stitching on the flaps to match my endurance colours (black and pink)

Blame my credit card though... they've just raised my credit limit and made me feel rich

ooo thistle i saw that one i think the xc version...oooo that was lovely..im still wondering whether i should have gone xc style flaps rather than jumping!

Have to admit I looked at Weezy's flaps and thought they looked nicer than mine, nothing like the X-country ones Mike Norton showed me!

Still I'm short so the fixed block SJ ones are fine for me!

Numnah wise, I have been trying loads of different ones, come the conclusion that numnahs don't work too well as the back gets 'sucked' up by the wow.

Now changed to saddle cloths and either use my old poly pad (a bit thick) or my latest find some cheapo £6.50 (sale) cottage craft ones from Countrywide

I either leave front straps dangling or tuck them into the double D's at the front. These saddle pads have not moved.

Well, my wow arrived on Wed and Fiona fitted it wed evening, good timing.
Jasper loves it and keep trying to show off his medium paces as his shoulders are so free!.

It was the Nutmeg xc one, I got it for quite a lot less than the buy it now price as it didn't sell so I made her an offer, i was the highest bidder but didn't make reserve.

Next step will be buying some numnahs.

Does anyone have a pair of 24" leathers that they would like to swap for my 28"'s

My fitter (Fiona Reddick) supplies brown numnahs...and even specially deisgned Numed numnahs with fleece and velcro D ring tabs...

Her HHO user name is whatawizard so you could email her for prices..
