Am getting a WOW saddle and would like recommendations of fitters in my area please.

Have looked at the website and have seen who is around my area, but would like to here from people who are around me as to who they had etc.

I am in Wiltshire, but nearer Hampshire area really. Dorset is also an option.

I know this should be somewhere else, but i thought people in here would be more able to help!!

Thank you

OOh, who you getting a Wow saddle for? Can I ask why you have decided to go down the Wow route? Is an option have personally been looking into so would be interested to hear if you wouldnt mind? Fiona Reddick is your fitter i believe and highly recommended...may be wrong though!!

Thank you for that

I am getting a WOW for Archie. His saddle is only 6 months old, but it dosent fit him anymore as hes changed shape so much recently. It also dosent fit me very well as the seat is too big and i get a bit lost in it!

I like the fact that you can choose the exact design (if you see what i mean) and that they can be altered easily.

I sat in one at the BD Convention and loved it! Ive heard loads of great things about them too and just really like the idea of them.

Cool, be interested to know how you get on. I am probably going to book a demo in new year for Goddy and see how we get on, would be interested to see if they live upto the hype.

Ooh I hated, hated, hated mine. Got rid of it asap, for half the price I bought it for and had only ridden in it 10/20 times.

Shame you're so far away, I'm selling mine as my baby ned isn't happy in it, I think there is to much movement for him to deal with and he needs lots of stability, mainly in his mind (which will happen when hell freezes over!!!)

your fitter wouldnt be fiona as she is east anglia region i do believe.
i really love mine, and i mean that-the only difference i feel dressage wise compared to riding in my instructors amerigo is you feel slightly more on top...but you very quickly get used to it and i dont have a problem at all!!
No harm in trying:) Also i only really tried one dressage seat and flap so others will feel different i guess...i have a deep seat but if you only want it for dressage then the extra deep may well be much better:)

i sat in the extra deep with a new style flap thats not online yet (its similar to the giant block dressage one) but i really liked it - obviously i wasnt on a horse but it felt nice!

Yes because it has a headplate that moves as opposed to the average tree in a saddle some horses don't take to them, I'm not at all anti the concept as its like everything some horses love them and other don't.
He had surgery for Kissing Spines last year and he now seems to accept a tree'd saddle much better.

im happy with mine, hopefully it will suit my next horse too-i dont see a reason for it not to..here is a picture of mine its not the best of either of us..but shows the saddle quite well!!(makes me look tiny:o)

Had two dressage wows and got rid of them....
Had problems with headplates breaking and saddle dropping onto horses back, also ridges where airbags overlapped.
In my opinion if your horse is sensitive he may not like wow as there is so much movement in the saddle - air, and lateral flexion. One of mine used to panic and run backwards but is fine in traditional saddle....
Best to try it out for a week if you can before committing as lot of money to lose.

blimey never heard of those problems at all!
RachaelC on here has one for her cold backed horse and the transformation was amazing-he will not be happy with anything on his back, my instructor also has two and has never had problems...
i have had both types of headplates..the originals and the lighter ones and had no problems so far-maybe its due to having a good fitter? i dont know

I didn't know you had one Di, I'm thinking of getting one for Flash, or at least trying one out but haven't got round to it yet. He's always changing shape and I've never been totally happy about any saddle we've tried yet! Been told they're either something you love or hate because they feel so different.

i really dont think they do feel different-i was expecting to hate it when i tried and was so sceptical...but really didnt feel that much difference.

I know its something I will have to try to satisfy my curiosity! As I said, I have never been totally happy with a saddle fit before, and he's so reluctant to go forward when ridden that I can't help but suspect the 2 are related!

There wasn't a problem with the fit, and there was nothing the fitter could do about the headplates breaking. I have spoken to a fair few people who have also had wow headplates break. My horse is big moving warmblood and I think the plate isn't up to lateral flexion at front of saddle. After second broke I gave up! A new light weight plate broke at Blenheim round x-country this year.
Some horses do seem to like the wow but I lost faith in them after all these problems. Took ages to rebuild horses confidence under saddle. Customer service of wow also leaves a bit to be desired.....
