I know this has been done to death, and I'm sorry about asking again!

After having seen, tried (on the mechanical horse, and with the person filling the airbags and telling us what is wrong with our position) and had the full explination at Badminton today I have decided to save up and buy myself a wow saddle!

And was wondering if you would reccomend them, and also what made you buy one? Would you buy the competitor one (I think thats what it's called

) or the club one, and why!?

thanks very much

My daughter loved the club but we couldn't afford a new one and there were only comp on ebay so we got one off there and got it fitted by David from Wow. There are quite a few on there at the moment but you need to know roughly what you want as it can be expensive to change parts .There is a nice one on at the moment belonging to Di Lampard, obviously a jumping one.
She loves the comfort of the one we bought and hates any other saddle now

thanks

We can't afford a new one right now, and my saddle is ok until i can save up the money to buy a new one! I'd rather have a new one, then it will be fitted to Hemir, and also living in France (and not being able to find them over here) makes it difficult to have it fitted properly by someone that works for WOW, so having a new one (for me) is easier!

I have just checked Ebay -Don't you think it is a bit odd being so new but the buy now is only half the retail price???

It will have to be fitted to the horse, I don't quite understand . you need a really good wow fitter to fit one to your horse or they can be a problem

They said that we can make a mould of his back, then they can make the saddle from that!

I have a Wow Club dressage and if I have to reace my GP soon (Charlie has dropped 2 tree sizes), I will buy the jumping version. I tried the Meccano Wow (competitor) but did not like it as it was very heavy and uncomfortable (like sitting astride a 5-bar gate).

Was ir Lorna Hamilton that demonstrated it to you at Badminton?

I bought one as a last resort! My horse has back problems and the only saddle she will accept is the WOW. I now have two (both competitors) purely because I cant be bothered with changing the flaps over everyday. Plus changing the flaps frequently can damage the screw holes.

If you buy the club you cant change the flaps. If all you do is one discipline then go for a club. If you do a bit of dressage and hacking then you could go for the VSD flaps.

It really depends on what you do. The extra flaps are £450and seats are more I think so if you only say jump every now and then you would be better off with the club dressage and a cheaper GP/jumping saddle which you probably have already! Or vice versa!

There is a french wow fitter, her name is Vanessa and I bought a new ex demo WOW from her, I wonder if I still have her contact details?

My WOW fitter knows her and says she is good.

Found details will PM you

There was a fitter in France but not sure where! You really want to try the different flaps first. They are all so different. I hated the GP flaps so went for SJ and the CC ones were too forward cut for my legs. I also needed longer dressage flaps. If you come over to England you could arrange to visit First Thought to try out the seats and flaps.
