After going through several saddles in a year with my 4yo i bought one and now have one for the other horse too. I love them, they offer so much to the horse. Some people dont like them but this is usually because they have had a bad fitter and/or the wrong saddle. There is ALOT to them though, so you need a good fitter.
They are £1700 now but IMO well worth it for the benefits they give to the horse and the truly bespoke fit you can achieve.
Paid about £1800 for a new dressage saddle about 4 years ago. I hate it, it has never fitted me or any of my horses, despite using a wow saddle fitter. I am now having major issues selling it, because no one wants it, so it is just gathering dust!!! I have heard positive reports from some people, but you have to have a very good wow fitter, and they seem to be few and far between!!!!
Wouldn't consider any other, fab for my shape changing mare and brilliant for me, an old and arthritic rider. They are not pretty though and only as good as the fitter, I think I have been lucky, I have a brilliant fitter.
My friend had problems with not one, but two WOW saddles, fitted by one of their fitters. On examining the saddles it looked as if the saddles were actually poorly made, and that was causing the problems, but the fitter could get no help at all from WOW.
On the other hand, another friend of mine swears by her WOW saddle.
There have been several threads on here in the past from people who have had significant problems with brand new fitted WOW saddles, so it is worth having a read.
I have five in use and fit them myself. You can buy the pump kit to do it with. A lot of horses will not go well in a fixed tree and the WOW has a carbon fibre joint which allows the whole front arch to rock with the horse's shoulders. They love them. I also think you can't beat them for a young horse who will go through one saddle after another as it changes shape.
Drawbacks - expensive new and risky off eBay (fit and quality)
Weight - even the lightweight newer seats are still heavy
Close contact - they ar not! But you can feel the horse even though you are not sat close.
Variable in comfort - depending on which saddler made it and how much foam he put in the seat. Some are very over-filled and I find those terribly uncomfortable.
No saddle is any good if it doesn't fit properly and I have heard lots of horror stories about WOW's not being fitted right causing pressure points and naughty horses
