Anyone have any experience with them or WOW saddles in general. The reason I am interested in the WOW western saddle is that it is a lot lighter than most.
I am now going to have to look up the WOW Western, as I did not know they make them. I have a Western that is fairly light, but the lighter the better.
Never heard of them, but they look interesting. Why not ask them if they have a customer near you who you could visit or speak to, to ask their opinion?
Almost all of the good established American western saddlers make lightweight versions of their saddles. I wouldn't even consider a traditional English saddle maker western saddle, it's not what they do. My advice is go for a proper American made lightweight saddle manufactured by people who have been making these saddles for hundreds of years.
Friend has just trained to fit and sell them, tested them on her own horse and seemed to rate them highly and is now dragging them round the western shows to demonstrate.
I'm with Spring Feather ... there are plenty of good quality lightweight western saddles available, steer clear of ebay though unless you know what your doing.
A few years ago I saw a proto type they had at Burghley. Was not impressed for the money TBH, they are very expensive. I have a few Specialized western trail saddles and they are very light, interchangeable for different horses. You can have without horn or a traditional western looking saddle.
