pointless post sorry but yesterday i rode my sisters Andalusian dressage horse for the first time (never brave enough before). I have never ridden anything like it - amazing - it felt like we were floating! He was so genuine and responsive - even when i was clealy giving the wong aids, bless him. By the end we were doing half passes and piaffes - wondering if i can teach my gysoy cob - what do you think?!! I have never felt so confident and such a sense of achievement - havn't slept for thinking about riding him again! Pointless but thank you to my lil sis for having faith and being so very patient!

Hehe!

I'm glad you had fun!!

I go between my Oldenburg dressage horse and my rescue gypsy coblet all the time - they both tolerate me very well - bless them!!

Enjoy your next ride on him - I'm guessing Denzil will be like Inca - not interested in the whole dressage nonsense

- but your riding on Denzil will change and improve the way he goes - whether he likes it or not!!

I used to ride a retired police horse, she was a Cleveland Bay so didn't have the "wow" paces of your sisters Andalusian but I can completely understand the wrong aids thing! She was an absolute push-button ride but had SO MANY buttons! Forwards, backwards, sideways (- no forward movement at all so much more than just a leg yield!) through people, over people (a personal favourite

) walk, trot and canter without moving forward at all (I'm sure these have posh dressage terms but I don't know them!), turn on a forehand, turn on the haunches etc etc. It was awesome

Lol. I rode a friend's extremely well schooled TB. Poor lad! He tried so hard to understand what the numpty sat on top was asking him to do

.

It was an amazing feeling though when I did hit the right combination of leg placement/hand action/seat movement

.

With the Dizzy one, it's more a case of 'whatever!'. I can't wait to start working properly on her
