I just purchased 'Sports Massage for Horses' by Pennie Hooper.
On the for notes 'When not to use Sports Massge'
-If you horse has EVER suffered Lymphangitis. Do NOT sports massage. EVER!
I didnt realise that massaging the body would be so evil on a horse with lymphangitis. But Ive thought about it.. and other than leg massaging which will shift the fluid.. massaging the rest would actually cause lymphatic fluid to head to the legs.
Ted's been dead for 3 months, and I am still learning so much about what killed him.
