Loved the video.
The second comment down on u tube stated mules are the only equine that can jump from a stand still. Lucy must be a mule!
I was loose jumping her about 10 years ago when she was 9 and the jump was so small she refused to jump it so i built a runout tunnel wit a pole on the top hole of the 5ft wings. Lucy entered the tunnel and refused to jump so i ran in the tunnel with the lunge whip and cracked it behind her. Instead of jumping the 2ft xpole she jumped the runout bar from a compleate stand still and cleared it. She's only 13.2hh! But maybe this explains her stubberness.
Made my day I also enjoyed Extreme Mules and the baby mule vid.
I have work to do I can't spend all day looking at mules but just dig the big mule Ruby Tuesday
They have lots of ridden mules in the USA, we rode them on our honeymoon! Couldn't really tell the difference once you were on, apart from the big ears.
Apparently they carry more weight and are more sure footed than horses, have harder feet so don't need shoes, and are good doers. The only downside is that they have a little more attitude than your average gelding. And as they are all sterile you don't need to get them gelded!

this is true, but they take the testosterone from the donkey side and can be 100% harder to handle than a horse stallion unless gelded!
mules can do everything a horse can do, I have a friend who owns six and they showjump, hack, do fun rides, hunt, everything you would want them to do.
they are really sure footed and most can easily be kept barefoot, and they are stronger than a horse the same size so a 15.2hh mule could carry a man easily!
they are truely lovely creatures!

Sorry, but it is as essential to geld a mule as a horse.
Donkeys are also far stronger weight-for-weight than horses, but I believe mules are still hardier than donkeys. I should know really, as I had a 14.2hh ride/drive mule
