Do these type of boots/wraps work for horse's with short pasterns? They conform to the shape of the leg and then velcro on. I have LeMieux ones and have been skeptical of the fit so rarely use them. I picked up an absolute steal at a car boot sale- brand new Premier Equine Air Techs for £10 with the view that I would sell on if they didn't fit. Now I can't work out if they fit okay or not. To contradict myself the general 'fit' of them is absolutely fine but I can't work out if they're too bulky round the pastern part. My horse has quite short but upright pasterns. Is there a nack to fitting them? Should I be looking for x amount of finger space at the bottom of them? Ideally I'd like to have them for Cross Country training (we only do small for fun) but I'm worried they will impede him over a fence or rub.
The LeMieux ones are called support boots, just to try and give an example of the type of wrap I'm referring to.
