I wrote for a FEI comp recently. It was the first time I'd not had hand written sheets. My issue isn't using the new electronic system, it is the fact that there is no assessment re the height of the chair/desk. When I work in an office there is a workspace assessment. After 4hrs writing with a chair that was too low my back and arms ached. I'm not expecting venues to carry out an assessment but could they supply height adjustable chairs? If not I probably won't continue to volunteer for BD. Am I being unreasonable?

No!! 😀

You are not being unreasonable at all. Good point to raise direct with FEI/BD.

One of the reasons I’ve given up dressage writing at BE is because of the discomfort from 4 hours sitting in an unfamiliar car hunched over a clip board and dressage sheets balanced on my knees.

The least they should offer you is an adjustable chair and a comfortable desk.
