Written warranties - buying/selling horses

Has anybody actually requested a written warranty when buying a horse or received one? It doesn't seem to be something that is really done but seems to make sense both ways - the buyer and the seller are both protected in a claim.
Is the horse world a bit behind or is there something i've missed?!

I always sell with a simple receipt that says "Sold as x hh x yo chestnut mare, as a quiet hack, previously sound and no known health issues". This is so that if it proves not to be a quiet hack, I will refund, but if it goes down with laminitis then I'm not responsible.

If you start stating that "this horse is sound and does not nap" you're liable for all sorts, because it may never have been lame with you, but suddenly go lame with new owner, and might nap because they have a pig farm next door.

Horses being animals, are never predictable, things can and do change from day to day, hence why concrete guarantees are not usually available.
