My youngster is starting unaffiliated tests. We've done walk/trot and now have to brave the canter ones.
We have difficulty with the left canter lead. If she gets the wrong lead during the test, should I continue in counter canter (which she's amazingly good at) or go back to trot and keep trying until I get the correct lead?
What would a judge expect me to do in this situation?
