wat is your horses biggest phobia?my big gelding is petrified & hates any small animals - if a dog comes into his field he chases them and tries to pounce on them, cats he snorts at, trembles and god forbid if one comes into his stable - pins himself against the wall eyes on stalks and literally cr*ps himself - also the same with small children - balks at them, peers down at them like they are about to bite him and if one dares to stroke him he is very very alarmed!!anyone elses horses got weird phobias?

My old horse used to be PETRIFIED of milk floats!! Even if they were still and not making any noise, would take a good while to get him past one and sometimes we would have to turn back!!

Himself!

Velcro and being squirted with fly spray - you'd think as a big strapping 17.1hh he would be afraid of nothing - but no.

If he could fit, he would jump in my pocket at the slightest sight of velcro!

Horses and carts, horses trotting towards us down the road, kids running towards us, in fact most things coming towards us at speed except traffic - figure that out?

My current boy is mega laid back about just about everything but he is wary of sheep - everyone knows that small woolly sheep actually eat horses. But as long as the sheep are in a field doing sheepy things, its ok. Its when they stop doing sheepy things he gets worried. Once, I was waiting for the trailer to arrive and suddenly horsey-o goes into dangerous stallion mode. Snorting, growing 3 hh, etc etc. I thought he'd gone mad. Turned round and there was a little sheep grazing quietly 6 foot behind us!!!! Horsey-o clearly felt sheep had NO right to be on HIS yard. Other than that he's a poppet!

Beau is petrified of someone else eating his cup a soups!

I dont know really, he doesnt really spook, I brought him in the other night, it was amost dark and there was a huge empty cardboard box outside the stables, flapping about in the breeze, I expected him to snort or spook as we went past it, but he stuck his head in it! Go figure?!

Lance is scared of nothing, and everything when it suits him.

Nearly everything that flies, especially Magpies, also butterflies, bees, horseflies, sugars, even large snowflakes, she doesn't like them landing on her nose, she snorts & blows and waves her head all over the place, I think something must of flown into her face when she was young

Anything in a spray bottle (I have to cough really loudly to mask the sound!) Oh and wasps, he stands dead still like he is in a trance if there is one around! And every horse I've ever met has had issues with the smell of pigs (pig farm up the road!)

Miniture shetlands, and last night i discoverd that a kettle boiling in the barn scared the crap out of him. He came over to investigate what it was, and stood wide eyed and snorting, before backing off and finishing his tea
Strange animal

Toucha's scared of small ponies in bugrugs! When I got her home she saw the YO's 11hh pony wearing one and was prompty reduced to a quivering snorting wreck - she's never forgotten it...

Mine's scared of white things. Doesn't matter if they are big or small, alive or not, he doesn't like them at all. Having said that, he was really scared of white things but now he is growing up a bit more he is not so frightened. He doesn't spook at them now, just has a good look.

Chester is not afraid of anything.

(well....maybe not being able to pig out on a daily basis

I could have a juggler throwing flaming pins all around his head while I another person was shooting off bombs behind him...................

The rest of them are pretty much the same although Tex seems afraid of being away from other horses. He will do anything to get to Chester if he is put in a corral alone
