umm, Indianas_Mum, that's fine as long as someone's happy to keep them as pets for the rest of their days (preferably without breeding from either of them!), but the fact is that most horses have to be able to stand up to some sort of work, and if their conformation is crap, there's a 99.9% chance they won't.
good conformation isn't about snobbery, it's about physics and common-sense and how will a horse stand up to work and therefore be useful and fun and more likely to land on its feet in the world!
so i don't think you can compare a person who doesn't look like a supermodel with a horse with dreadful conformation...

Doesn't matter how beautiful a foal is if it dies within the first few days of life because its innards look like they've been put through a hot wash.
And if its lucky enough not to die from OLWS, it'll be knackered at 6 with joint problems.
