well.....
A nice chill morning before set off, rode big horse and i'm thinking i should be taking YOU instead of little one OMG!!
Got to WW and walked course, small pairs (70cm) and intermeiate (90cm)and i'm thinking OMG, as small course was very freindly BUT other course was mmmm.... defo had questions, but me thinking well it's at intro height so that's where i want to be with him...
Went back tacked up and got on board and very lucky i managed to sort out new pairs parnter so went to warmup arena OMG it was mad!! so walked away as atmosphere was to much for my boy-went back nearer started time though just warm up and doing couple of jumps, mmmm.... rocket launcher was alight! so removed spurs
Then got called up to start and my partners pair horse decided to pee on start line!!! how chilled is that !!!!
where as mine was leaping around - well all the worries I had about him went out the window, he was FAB locked onto every jump and even if I wanted to once guidance system on couldn't turn off !!!
Brilliant round very very happy with him, went back to trailer washed down and then got ready for my individual round now very nervous as owner(mum) had turned up and 'being a dear' but just getting in the way
Warm up this time was calmer but only trotted and cantered as warm up as last experince - call up to start box and the had second counter down - first fence jump huge!!!! but guidance system defo on
just too much speed , and the round continued in that vein
Brilliant course fence 6 - jump up onto platform two strides down, then down hill two stride to narrow log - didn't bat eyelid and in time section over roll top with tall brush either side then sharpright hand two stride to narrow log pile- awesome again!!
Well we finish and i was so happy with his attitude as it's only his 3 xc round and i had him nearly three years and just really gone round in circles and square.
So defo of BE next-fingers crossed and to complete day of nicely were we placed 10th in pairs out a class of 35 plus and i was about 13th or 14th out of 30 ish in 90cm class -
