Recently having to have a hard think about my horses lameness of nearly 2 years now. I've currently brought a youngster to replace this horse as had nothing to ride at the time. The vets unfortunately we're not helpful during the first stages of his lameness and couldn't pin point the issue after having MIR, X-Ray's, injections etc meaning there's no more Insurance money to spend. They kept flicking back from it being coffin joint disease to a deep flex tendon injury... The last time we was at a vets they said you could de-nerve him or turn him away which we did ever since. I've tried riding him a handful of times but he's still not right in the trot. So since the winter will soon be approaching again I'm having to think about the future of this horse and if he'll ever come 'sound'. He's a big 16.3 warmblood so isn't a companion. He's currently now barefoot after wearing egg bars but without seeing no improvement we spoke to the farrier and took them off him. I'm just unsure what's best to really do as I can't fund more vets to come check him etc but doesn't look like he'll become sound on his own. So that's why I ask WWUD?
