WWYD? Advice please

My dog has had a slight limp on and off for about the last 3 weeks, it doesn't cause her too many problems as she has never yelped or whined, she is still quite capable of charging around like a loon! ( she is 19 months old and a lab). She has been to the vets who can't find anything obvious so they have booked her in for x-rays early next week. My query is would you still be taking her out for walks in the meantime? Vet didn't say not to but I'm worried if it could be doing more harm than good as during the last couple of days the limp has got worse. Thanks
 
Thanks for replies. I have been walking her on the lead (don't my arms know it! :eek:), but she behaves like a loon at home racing around and playing with my other dog. I only have a small house so it's impossible to separate them in any way until this gets sorted. She doesn't do stairs as I don't allow either of them upstairs. The only time she gets in the car is to go to the vets anyway so no problems with that one.

She is a rescue dog that came over from a pound in Dublin and although I was told by the rescue that her parents are registered I have no papers or such like for her, all I know is that she was put in the pound at 12 weeks old with her sister and left there as the breeder couldn't sell them.

When you say on and off what triggers it? My dog needed a good few weeks crate rest and only out for the toilet followed by 5 mins 4 times a day walking on a lead and so on from there. She then had physio. They didn't find anything on X-ray and now she's fine unless she has has too much play with my friends dog and then it may happen again the next morning. She's a working cocker so the crate rest and waking on lead each day were not easy! All the best, I hope they find something they can treat
 
Can be anything that triggers it, sometimes during/after a walk, sometimes when she gets up from sleeping. To start with it would only last for about an hour and then she seemed to be ok for a couple of days then it would come on again. Over the last few days though she seems to be limping almost constantly hence our visit to the vets. She will be having front and back x-rays.
