Bit long sorry, bear with me - I need to give some background as well.
I've not been v. confident for quite a while now, and recently a friend said that I could ride her chap as he's really steady and will help me out. All went well the first two weeks and we went out together and had a great time and my confidence is improving in leaps and bounds, getting on really well with her horse too.
But, things have started to go downhill - not with the riding - but with getting to ride at all! My friend is a really social person and the past few times we were supposed to go out she has cried off and we've just not managed to get together. When we first spoke about me riding her horse said that him and me could go out on our own.
So my question is, would it be really cheeky of me to suggest that if she is too busy this weekend then I take him out by myself?
We have a pretty good area of hacking where we don't have to go on the road - so I would be quite happy to say I would stick to that.
