WWYD - livery hitting my horse when not around

Hitting your own horse is out of order, but to hit another livery's horse is even worse! I would (as someone else suggested) put a camera up without telling anyone. Obviously the yo doesn't really give a monkeys about what her liveries get up to.

Sorry OP but why are you still stabled there? No way would I be stabled on a yard with somebody like this. if I found out somebody had been hitting my horse all hell would break lose, lets just say I would've hit her in the face too.....

Same here! I would have moved my horse the very first time you saw she hit your horse, I would never leave my horse around someone that is capable of this sort of thing. I would move urgently, meantime I would be putting up a camera on my horses stable at an angle I could see if she did anything, then if you catch her at it then I would absolutely take it straight to her (along with the YO) and have it out with the nasty piece of work! I would be absolutely seething if I were you OP...

She says he has begun reacting to things at his stable door since the livery was assaulting him randomly and without provocation. Not unreasonably IMO.

If you read the start of thread OP said she also does it for no real reason just wallops him across the head for hell of it ! So tell me is that acceptable ?

I already said that it wasn't acceptable in my post, you even managed to quote it but obviously not read it!

She also says how she told the livery, after the first time she did it, that she only has to shoo the horse away or make a certain noise at him so it sounds like there was a history of him lunging before this.

So you have more than one horse and this is not the first time this livery has already seen hitting your horses. She been hitting another one of your horses who now reacts by making sure he does not put his head out the stable when that livery is near by so she can't hit him so now she has started hitting your other horse but she does not touch any of the other horses on the yard.

It all sounds very odd to me. Getting a camera will probably stop the behaviour immediately but if this livery has something against you and has been hitting your other horse then you probbaly to protect that horse too by getting them a camera as well. I would also be concerned about what that livery might be doing to your horse if it shares a field with one of her horses as if the hitting of horses is related to something she does not like about you rather than your horses behaviour it is going to be very difficult to protect them whilst that livery is on the yard as you cannot have cameras in the field.

Still not acceptable to hit the horse ! Would you accept someone victimising yours ? No thought not !
