WWYD selling...

Sorry for the delay!
A text was sent which read “thanks for your interest in our mare, however, she is now sold- but good luck with your search”
I ignored 5 phone calls within a minute to be met with a text of “please send your bank details, we will transfer you a deposit of £25 (yes £25) to secure our sale”
I then phoned them back & explained she had sold to which I was met with a lot of sobbing and how could I sell her from underneath them etc, for them to then tell me they where going to ask if they could trial her on a hunt day next week. I swiftly told them where to go and blocked their number.
She’s due to be vetted Monday, owner will collect straight away and is planning on coming hunting with us Wednesday!

Well that’s one cheap way of a getting a days hunting. Cheek of it . After a call that I wouldn’t have sold to them anyway . Glad she’s found a good home !

These people will not buy your horse. People who fall in love with a horse will move heaven and earth to get that horse vetted and with them asap.
Yes, my current horse of 10 years I viewed on Sunday morning, was vetted Mon lunchtime (vet just happened to be vetting another on the yard on Mon morning) and was in my stable by 9pm on Monday night remains my best decision ever and now in foal to hopefully breed her successor as can find nothing for sale I like so much.

This entire thread has been like reading a suspense story published in a newspaper!! :-) The outrageous behaviour of the 'buyers' is as dramatic as anything I've seen on an episode of Dynasty or Dallas, and the seller - who plays the part of the Voice of Reason. The line about a trial hunt day just about put me under my desk. Thank you for the entertainment, glad it worked out in a sensible manner.
