Horse isn't 100% but intermittant. One day can take her out a 10 mile hack and she's striding out, bouncing and really forward. The next day, she's out for 2 minutes and her stride is choppy, unwilling and stumbling. It actually feels like her knee collapses and then she rights herself.
A couple of times now, over 60cm jumps she has landed and fallen on her knees. Once on grass and once on an all weather arena.
She's barefoot, out 24/7, not insured.
Had the vet out yesterday and he watched her walk around and commented on her left knee. It appears she is not bending it and moving the shoulder instead.
I'm going to get quotes from them anyway but, vet advised that they would need xrays to see what's happening. He also advised that there may not be anything they can do. (I appreciate his honesty).
I don't know whether to go for the xrays, whether to put poles down and work her inhand over poles to get her moving, or to leave her for 6 months and see if she sorts herself? WWYD?
