I have just seen an advert for a pony i know. I was on the same yard as them up until a year ago and have kept intouch ever since i left.
Im sad to see they are having to sell him but seeing the advert it doesnt ring true...
Said pony has arthritis in all 4 legs and is on bute to keep him comfortable as well as cortaflex etc and has been semi retired to light hacking and very small amount of school work as he becomes lame after - hes 10 years old
They have advertised him as an endurance horse, mother, mother daughter share and perfect WH pony and show pony.
There is no way unless he is buted up to his eyeballs that he would stay sound with that amount of work... he wasnt even sound on field rest and on more than one occation he has got to the point where he was so lame they thought they were going to have to pts.
Im not the interfering type but i cant help but think about that poor pony suffering because his owner lied and i hope to god who ever goes to try him has a 5 stage vetting on him...
I hate that i even noticed the advert and i hate hate hate to be like this as its really interfering but WWYD?
or has there been a cure come out for arthritis i havent heard about?

i was going to write a comment on it on facebook as it popped up on my news feed but then it would lead directly back to me and i dont think i would want to deal with the tirade of abuse i would receive afterwards...
