WWYD ?

Leave. disaster/huge problem waiting to happen IMHO

i agree!

theres no way anyone would dictate to me when i can see my horse....or if i cant get to her in an emergancy!

fully respect that its someones property - therefrore 5am visits i dont do!! but if i had to get to the vets i would just be going - not having to ring someone to get in

leaving is an option...!

As already stated, leaving isn`t an option. There isn`t anywhere else locally that either doesn`t have bigger issues to deal with (masses of Ragwort/Oak/Yew), Direct access onto the railway when stupid thieving towrags come and pinch my batteries for the electric fencing letting my 2 onto the railway, or that isn`t stupidly expensive for 2 hours turnout a day (if you are lucky).

Where i am now is perfect in every single other way ..... hence why i want to try and reach a solution with them that will work for us all :)

Cant see what the issue is - they could change the locks if you turn out to be a problem, or you could offer to pay a security deposit of say 200 pounds, or whatever is reasonable.

Very simple solution. Go and buy the strongest bolt cutter you can find and keep it in your car. In the event you need to get horse out then you can. They'll only allow that happen once!!

if its a true emergency then a bolt cutters will an option.Otherwise that security box idea sounds good. I do think its a bit odd they are happy to rent to you but not let you have a key though.Did they have trouble in the past?
