Neddy and I are off to our first XCountry Clinic on Saturday.

She hacks in a universal and cavesson noseband only but I think she'll get excited!

She SJ in a Universal and Martingale so I'll put that on, she also wears a flash for jumping, but what should I do about boots/bandages?
Also is there anything else specifically apart from long sleeves and BP that I should wear in addition to normal?

I normally wear spurs as she is lazy off the leg, should I still wear them? Will I be allowed to use my schooling whip?

I haven't gone XC since I was 10 lol, I am excited and terrified at the same time!
 
How exciting, what course are you going to?

As it's a clinic you can wear what you want to as long as you have your bp on, you should also have a medical arm band if you are going on your own, boots on all four legs are a good idea.

I can't see a problem with you taking a schooling whip if you need one and yes wear your spurs if you normally do.

Nope no stud holes. Will that be a problem?

I've got Overreach boots, but would brushing boots be ok? I've got some thinnish woof wear ones or some clarendon ones. They are not double velcro or anything though, so I would have to tape them on maybe?
 
my adivce would be dont use anything new on the day as it its not fair on your neddy and you wont know whether any different behavouir is due to the tack or the different enviroment
 
don't worry about the stud holes, I have them but don't plan on using them at our clinic on saturday!

brushing will be fine, I would use the clarendon ones if they are thicker.

A bit of insulation tape might not be a bad idea if you are worried about the fastenings.
 
It's just a little one at Moreton. Only an hour but I desperately need a shove to get me back into things! My dear frind has pushed me and pulled me lol so there is no escape (exactly what I needed!)

Ive always been a bit chicken about XC but so far haven't found my girls' forte! I do hope this may be it
