I have asked the vet to come out & x ray the pony. Do I need electric for the x ray?
I have never had an xray on the horses before now.
In my field & stables, there is no electric, but I can walk her to a part where there is electric. I didn't think to ask the vet :S

Yes, you will need an electricity supply in order to take the x rays! And somewhere level and enclosed! (eg a stable with the bedding chucked up)

good luck :)

Just had my horse x rayed. Was in the middle of the field, didnt need to be dark, didnt need stable or anything, just electric. This was like a week ago now. We have no electric at yard, so used extension lead to loacal house.

Hope this helps

Electricity is essential or you won't be getting any slides! It doesn't matter if you are in a field or a stable. Just need a power point - vet should have an extension lead in his/her car. Depends what you are having x-rayed as horse will need to be sedated if it's not good at standing really still
