XC accident, anyone know the story behind it?

Cannot for the life of me remember his name but he lost control coming out the lake so couldn't turn in time - horse jumped into the crowd - think a photographer or journalist had their arm broken as a result of it.

I have a horse who just jumps whatever is in front of him (including people sitting on xc fences and always refer to it as him "doing a Tex"!!!

The injured guy was on a trip of a lifetime (from Canada I think) and it made his trip. Rather than suing or getting snotty he enjoyed his 15mins of fame and the real excitement

I was there watching that! on the opposite side of the white tape thankfully. Poor photographer got away lightly with a broken collar bone!

???? I'd have guessed may be 4 or 5 at most. I remember it was a photographer that was 'hit' and I think he broke is collar bone. He was back there next day being interviewed about the incident. Hell, I'm getting old

I've just dug out my copy of Eventing relating to the incident .
I've got copies going back to 1994 - yes , I'm old & a hoarder
