Yep, only used to use tendons for Jumping, but then he caught himself whilst jumping, so he now has fetlocks on too. He has prolites all round for XC and sometime overreach boots if ground is heavy. He uis close behind, but doesnt brush. Sometimes brushing boots aent idela when jumping as stops them feeling poles.
The horse I have now always wears boots for everything as she is terribly clumsy - if its possible to kick herself or trip up, she will. However, the mare I have just sold was rock solid, never touched a thing and always knew where her feet where so I didn't usually bother with boots for SJ, and only for XC when it was above 3'.
IMO it depends on the horse and how protective you, as the owner, like to be.
if you use studs probably better to wear some for protection just in case, otherwise mine only wear what they need to. Lucinda Green famously rode Miss De Meana without anything on its legs at all including the year it was third at blenheim !!
I use boots on all mine for SJ and XC, any horse can hurt itself. I use a full set of N.E.W Lightweight Competition boots and over-reaches for XC and Eskadron tendon & fetlock boots for SJ.
i dont hacking really, digby can brush sometimes but tbh i find its better if hes not wearing boots as when he is then that takles up the gap between his legs.
Havent jumped him in boots yet, always boot up for xc
i always use them, not to prevent brushing, but to prevent damage to tendons from strikes etc.
open fronted or xc boots for sj, depending on the horse.
xc boots all round for xc.
overreach boots for any jumping at all.

Ditto.
But why do so many people showjump without overreaches? I've always wondered whether its a similar principle to open fronted booted, but have never wanted to risk an overreach with mine.
I use boots for everything as i think i have the most clumsy horse ever.
for sj i use open fronted tendons but no fetlock at comps but at home i put brushing boots on his back legs.
for xc i use my new's
everyday schooling and hacking i use brushing boots all round
tendons and fetlocks for jumpin- for protection but so he still respects the poles and then all brushing boots for xc- and everything else just to be on the safe side,. a friends horse did a tendon in the field and the vet said that the fact it;s shoe came off and the horse wasnt booted and hit the already 'done in' tendon increased the injury xx
