Just wondering if anyone knew of any nice ones around. I quite like the Puffa one (think its that one), white with Puffa on the sleeve but cant seem to find it anywhere?

Any ideas on where to look would be great.

Thanks

Anything that is designed to wick away sweat will be best. They usually are very thin and lightweight material, some might look almost mesh-like. Helly Hansen ones are good and I have a North Face wick-away top that I wear competing as it's the right colour!

Look at Smartwool and icebreaker for their merino baselayers - warm, breathable, wicking and smell free!

Helly Hanson are good as but merino is the best!

The Musto Innovation range have some nice base layer tops although very limited in colour.

Have a look at ranges intended for runnning, climbing, hiking, rugby etc as they're often more reasonably priced. Eg Nike, Helly Hansen, North Face and the like

I went to my local designer outlet and bought an adidas running top. They had loads of different colours (so I got bright pink to match my body protector) and mine has a reflective stripe down the arm, so even in murky light you cant miss me xc!!!!!!!!! It only cost me about £10!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love my airowear body bases. Have a black and white one. Have found really keep you warm in this weather - have even worn to work under my work clothes when really cold!!

Try this lot - as recommended by lec (though coincidentally just down the road from me):

I bought a Nike Core Skin (or something equally technical sounding) and a similar Canterbury top. The Nike one is quite thin and clings to the bits that shouldn't be there

. but does its job wonderfully and I always wear it under something else anyway. The Canterbury top is thicker and slightly more flattering! Best of all the postage for both tops was about 60p!!

I wear the Puffa one for XC. Got it from our local tack shop. I guess it depends on your shape but mine seems to ride up unless tucked in really well (but as its tight, I look awful as Im not thin! so I wear a short sleeved top over it).

I wear the Under Armour ones - you can get them in hot weather or cold weather versions and they wick away sweat and are compression tops so (supposedly) help with muscle fatigue. I got kids ones because they come in cooler colours and are a bit cheaper, but the sleeves are a little small!!
