So I’ve have gone through some previous posts about XC boot recommendations but am no further forward.

I currently have the equilibrium ones which I think are fab in the sense that they are lightweight, breathable yet v protective (probably why I’ve stuck with them!) but I’ve never been 100% happy with the fit.

I’ve got medium all round on my 15.2 Connie X, & whilst the front are fine (although after only 1 season, they are already showing signs of coming apart!) I think that the backs have always been a little long and felt like I needed to do them up too tight so that don’t move.
They rubbed my poor boy yesterday whilst XC schooling & gave him a fat leg.

So I’m on the look out for some new ones, which I really need for my first event this Saturday.

I have looked into them quite a lot and the Veredus E-Vento XC event boots and the NEW X-Country Airflow boots seem to come out as most popular?
My friend also has the carbon air PE ones but I always PE sizing a bit off. As even after measuring him using the guide I think they’ll still be long (& the smalls not big enough width wise)

So looking for recommendations for XC boots and then help with sizing for a 15.2 Connie X?

Thanks ☺️

I have the PE ones and they fit my mare really well, I measured her up before I bought them though. They don’t heat her legs up excessively and they don’t hold loads of water either which is good.

Following as need some new back boots for my boy. I’ve got the woof wear xc boots. I really like WW as a make as they tend to fit him well and they wash well and are fairly robust (although the bottom edge frayed in the first set) but he’s taken against them on the hinds for no obvious reason. I assume he doesn’t like how they fit as he’s fine with other hind boots.

Hi really don’t like the PE ones and whatever horses I have had they never seem to fit or they slip round. WW can get a bit hot. My favourites are the Kentucky Horseware ones or failing that the Evento.

I've got a pair of NEW air flow brushing boots and don't find they're that cooling and they slip - I had some of their other XC boots previously which were great and never slipped or got heavy but they weren't ventilated at all.

I found the WW rubbed one of my horses and were a bit chunky and hot.

I have the e-vento set. My horse is 16hh, legs come up short for her height, not heavy boned. We have them in a Medium and they just fit. I ride out on our farm a lot. She can be close behind, and has old splint in front that she occasionally catches and these help a lot. I've never had an issue with anything from Veredus.
