D has never worn any type of boots as she used to have loads of feather but I've clipped it all off and I'm planning on taking her xc so think she probably should have some.

Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

I got some great Premier Equestrian XC boots on ebay for £10 brand new!

Seriously if you find some boots that fit and don’t slip down or move then please let me know. I have tried so many makes and non are designed for cob legs!!!! Go for good old bandages, or like me none!!!!!

My welsh cob used to get on well with NEW boots and has kindly passed them to my tb- thats a multi purpose boot if ever there was one. I've recently got some premier equine boots which I'm really impressed with and a small would probably fit a cob.

I'm also considering whether or not to bother with boots for my cob when we do our first XC next month - I never boot him as it's a struggle to fund any that fit - he's a HW feathered cob. I was thinking of bandaging rather than bothering with boots that don't quite fit!
