XC boots

I want to get my horse some proper XC boots for his christmas present as I want to treat him because he is special!

So I want something that gives really good protection but also don't want his legs to get to hot. I have been looking at the airflow boots by NEW, does anyone have them and are they good? Or which other boots would you recommend?

I used to use clarendon boots for XC... I found them to be really good!

dalmar do airflow boots which look brilliant, they're on my xmas list. very protective, very good airflow... had a good look at them at burghley. good website if you want more info.
the New ones are okay but i'm not 100% convinced, tbh. i've got a pair and they leave a slight ridge at the top of the tendon if you do them up tight enough not to slip, hope that makes sense.

I have the lightweight NEW XC boots - love them. Haven't made my horses legs ever sweat (unlike some) and are really protective. They also still look brand new and wash extremely well.
