XC colour help please!

I am trying to decide on which hat cover to get to go with my XC colours - I have decided on a treehouse one. Cerise and white to go with my top and white saddlecloth.

So my questions are which design? (I like checked, quarters or spots)

Lycra or Silk?

BTW am I right that if I want it to last say 3 seasons I'd be better off with silk?

I think they'd be good as the top has the side panels with pink/white stripes, so hat would match in.

(PS- top is fab, I have it for skiing! sadly they don't do one in my XC colours so went with a North Face one instead, but it has a funky wee Whistler/Blackcomb logo embroidered on the arm to remind me of my hol!

Have even ordered green 'leccy tape online this week as tack shop only had red or black and it wouldn't have gone with my colours!!! And I waited an extra month to get my body protector ordered in the "right colour"... I need a life, don't I?!

I would strongly recommend getting the checked silk one: I have the silk checked one, costs a little extra but very very cool!!!

I wasn't allowed a pink body protector - brother wouldn't wear it when I grew out of it apparently!

But I did have my tack shop order my skull hat in 3 times as they kept sending black rather than silver!

Jumptoit - maybe I have arrived on this too late, but if buying from Treehous I would really recommend AGAINST the spots.

I ordered my OH one last year as a special present (red with black spots) and thought it would be like it was in the picture on their website.

However it came with TINY little black stick on adhesive spots which you don't even see from a distance. I will show you what I mean...

The stars seem to be nice, have seen lots of HHO pics with them, so maybe go for the stars or the stripes even.

Sorry - if you have already ordered the spots I would recommend ringing them back and insisting that they are LARGE ones.

I would get the stripes, but the ones over the hat as opposed to "hoops" if that makes sense?! Cerise and white like that would loop fab
