Hi :)
I think you should get a rugby shirt to wear under your body protector and then a hat silk in same colour, then you have a good choice of colours and styles and it is much cheaper than getting a 'proper' xc set (I had a nag rags set but didn't like the jumper, was too bulky and expensive). I have evented a lot in my blue/pink/white stripey joules rugby shirt and hat silk in similar colours :) Definately get long sleeves, some places say you have to have them for xc, if it's hot you can just wear no top under the rugby shirt.
My colour ideas for you are - navy bp - red/navy shirt. Black bp - pink/blue(or grey) shirt.
I wouldn't worry too much about the numnah matching, my horse always used to wear her normal brown one, and I think we still looked fine.
For the bp I would just say get which ever colour goes best with what you wear, for example mine is black as most of my jods are black, everyday hat silk is black, goes with everything, etc. Racesafe bp's are awesome btw :) you might not have to have one made, I am quite short and largeish chested and I didn't, mine is an adult small (sizes seem to be quite generous) with a short back, the lace adjustments on the side work wonders :D

Yep, I didnt want to get a sweatshirt as then I'm limited to only wearing it when its cold enough!

I'm really starting to love red and navy (red being my favorite colour :D), but I love pink too...I might get the navy BP cos most of my riding stuff is blue (apart from jod boots and half chaps) so it'll all match. In terms of numnah/saddlecloth I can just see what's in the 'clean' pile in the tack room, as Bonnie's the RS's, not mine :( She is AMAZING though, a real flying coblet :D

I thought long sleeves would be best, dont want to get a polo shirt made up only to find out it was a waste!

Yay for racesafes :D They just seem so comfy and unrestrictive, and having the same sort of measuremnents as you, also having a very short back, they seem ideal! I really do want one sooner rather than later, so hopefully the tack shop will have my size in stock.

Thanks for all the help guys, keep it coming!

I totally agree with the XC top being one colour and the body protector being another but I think this PINK top is much more you :D

I think down the line if you wanted to get some extra bits these would be a great addition :D :D :D

Ah, but where'd you get the pink top??

I'm doing this XC at my RS, dont have my own horse! So prob wont get Bonnie all new boots, but might put matching electrical tape on them like Sol suggested.
